I’M WHO AM I

Being an IIUM dental student, you are the right person to close the gate before going back to hometown and the first person to open the gate after coming back from Eid, interesting fact, is it?
The class ended on Wednesday evening, oh we got clinic that evening which increase the probability to finish the earliest at 5pm, then rush to perform Asar prayer before depart (somehow i'm talking as we are going to board the plane haha).
Got a day before Eid (which I call : hari buat ketupat), fortunately on Thursday then 1 Syawal is on Friday-Sayyidul Ayyam. Love to experience Friday in the best town in the world-the place where I was born 23 years ago and the place where my heart resides calm and peacefully there.
Going to class, got 3 days before going back to hometown, sometimes I feel no longer here. My mind already arrive at my HOME SWEET HOME. How happy when surrounded by family members, the people that nowhere to be found except in the heart.
The truth is I love to be a dental student of IIUM. There is time when I can smile as broad as I can when the lecturers start to joke in a stressful dental student life. This is a reason between reasons why i'm happy to be here. They are able to cheer me up when I'm feeling that the earth are going upside down.
Let recall a bit what happen for block 1 year 4 session 2010/2011. This is a long journey to begin with which require a lot of patient and discipline for me to sacrifice the rest time during lunch break and after clinic at 5am. The reason simply because I need to stay at lab to do prostho and also ortho work. Honestly, I dislike those work, but this is a part of being a dental student means.
Sometimes, I just start to give in  on myself when seeing my friends finish works earlier or better than mine, but this wors of Tony Buzan really wake me up:
(this is not quoting, but paraphrase, those who learn EAP will absolutely know)
We Tend To See The Best Side Of Others And The Worst Side Of Ourselves, That’s The Reason Why We Are Repeating Saying That We Are Not Able To Do That Or This.
Moreover, this words emphasize more:
It Doesn’t Matter How Long Time You A Re Taking To Finish As Long As The Result Are Superb Because At The End The Result Does Matter. People Will Remember How Fast You Do The Work, But They Will Remember More How Quality Are Your Work. But, If You Get Those Two, It Is A Bonus.
Being a dental student, you ought to combine between theory and practical. In other words, the knowledge must be inside the head all the time and the practical must be based on the knowledge, but must be accompanied by creativity to communicate with patient and also lecturers. Not to forget to your assistant as she/he is the most important to support you.
It all about teamwork, the reason why I love this course. It teaches me about communication, confident, discipline, and above all how to control my temper and ‘easily give up attitude’. It educates me how to be organized and above all help me to love being me. It help me to know myself more and above all to be a good person that give benefit to others.
I’m going home for Eid, so I must leave all scholl problem here because the beautiful home never allow me to drag the gloomy unless the interesting part only to be carried from Kuantan to Kuantan.
Forgot to tell what happen today. For am session, perio was to do posterior root planing, only 3 teeth involved, with about 12 surfaces roughly-mesial, distal, buccal and lingual. No, less than 12 because not all surfaces have calculus to be cleared. But, Allah knows how tough to remove the arrogant subgingival calculus. My hand are looking for rest stop for several times before finishing the task. Fuh..
For ortho session, E n D between partner, have to complete till impression taking & radiograph-OPG & lateral ceph. Oh, my gag reflex are active especially during Ramadhan when my stomach refuse to so operate with the oral cavity to leesen the gag.
Alhamdulillah, with the supine technique to take upper impression, mu gag is lessened. In addition to that, my operator keep talking to me to tell story, but how nice she is that i will keep smiling hearing the story even it is a serious one. You know, she is the cutest person ever in my life.
Now I know the struggling to cajole myself to distract my mind from thinking about the alginate going to fill my throat and i'm suffocated is not that easy. It doesnt matter coz above all, I love being a dental student:)

Sorry for the grammatical error, trying to write in English when long time retire.
